If you own a FoST, you probably are at least aware of the wiring TSB that makes your car stall, well, it looks like Ford finally put out a recall for the issue. The guys in my local !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! have been talking about the issue for a while and wondering when a recall will be issued. It looks like there is finally hope!

I'm not sure, but didn't he get a Fiesta ST, not a Focus ST?

Ahh, well I have no idea. In my ST club theres a couple hundred people, and the majority have a FoST, and this wiring issue seems to only affect a smaller amount of owners, but from what I've been hearing is it's pretty bad sometimes. One guy even traded in his FoST because it was so bad and the Ford dealership couldn't replicate the problem in their shop so they wouldn't fix it.

That's my ST club too! :)
Good update, thanks. I'm getting a weird creak during low speed steering too. Not sure what it is.

Yup, that sounds like K-Rolls issue. He had it towed for what he thought was a clutch problem or something of that sort. Dealer said they couldnt replicate the issue and gave it back.

Awesome, didn't know anyone from the Capital ST club were on oppo!
You might just need to lube up the u joint for your steering column, may be something as simple as that.

Ahh, well if hes getting stalling issues, it'll definitely be because of this wiring issue.

There's already a TSB out for the splice repair. It's interesting that they're actually initiating a recall. My car was built in that timeframe, and has a real intermittent stall issue. It's neigh impossible to show the dealer the condition, and it hasn't thrown the code, so I couldn't get the TSB done. I'm sort if glad it's a recall now.

Yep, I haven't been to any events but I'm on the FB group so I see everything. I met a bunch of the ST guys at an AutoX in Waldorf when we were filming our ST vs. E46 comparison . And Doug Boswell works at the dealership I bought my car from, saw his new white ST the other day. He was swapping all the stuff form his orange car.
What area do you live in? I'm in S. MD.

I'm lucky mine seems to not be having this issue, I also believe mine to be built after the dates in the recall.

Yeah I remember hearing about Doug getting a new FoST, why'd he change them?
I live in Northern Virginia, over in Woodbridge. I've found I'm pretty far away from most of the other members

Not sure, maybe the orange was hurting his eyes. haha
Ah, Woodbridge. Interesting area for modified cars, at least it used to be when I lived over near Belvoir.

Woodbridge is definitely an interesting area for cars. For example, I was very surprised to learn that when I picked up my 944, I wasn't the only person around there to own one, I counted 3 other ones.
I've seen late 60's Impalas, a lot of old fastback mustangs, a couple of late 60's Camaros. And most of them I saw at Wawa's

How's the import tuner crowd these days? I feel like NOVA was always pretty heavy with poorly modified Civics but Woodbridge seemed to be an epicenter.

It's pretty bad, I really don't associate with the JDM crowd (I mean all I have are American/German cars, I wouldn't fit in anyways), but I see tons of Accords/Civics mainly, all in various states of shittiness. No cars seem really done up seriously, just some dub and illest stickers with a fart can for good measure.
I mean hell, one of my routes home, there's what looks like a early 90's Celica, and it's propped up not on jack stands, but fucking tree stumps.

Ah sounds about like it was circa 2001 when I was down there occasionally. I had an electron blue unmodified Prelude and it was definitely ricerbait.

Shit, having a Prelude/Any old Zx/Sx car/Any Supra, is massive ricer bait, everyone will try to red light race you. A buddy of mine had an old Mk.III Supra, and people always tried to race him.
